Water Pump Gear

The water pump on the Opel GT Roadster is one of its major weak points. Most GTs eventually develop a leak either from the water pump itself or from the thermostat connected to it.

If you’re replacing the entire secondary timing chain drive- including all the sprockets - along with the water pump, you’ll also need the water pump sprocket, as it’s not included in any timing chain kit.
